Gebbia is approached by a winding road through chestnut woods, allowing just the occasional tantalising glimpse of the stunning views ahead. Casa Del Tramonto is in an idyllic situation on a promentory, at 500 metres above sea level, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the countryside dotted with almond and fig trees and the occasional pomegranite. In season, truffles and wild mushrooms are found in the woods.

We've created three self contained apartments from the south west facing portion of the old monastery, each with fantastic views. Time and effort have been taken to ensure that original features have been preserved, and a typical Tuscan effect achieved. This, combined with contemporary bathroom and kitchen fittings and modern feature lighting creates a stylish and comfortable environment for you to relax in.

Casa del Tramonto is situated on a hillside with breathtaking views over the Val d'Arno in the small village of Gebbia. The building is reported to be a monastery originating from the 12th century, and has been restored using the original local stone in typical style. The tiny hamlet of Gebbia, where Casa del Tramonto is located, is just 5 km from the ancient walled town of Civitella in Val di Chiana.
